Hilliard Awards for Seniors
Research and Design
This award recognizes outstanding achievement in research or design by a graduating materials science and engineering major. The criteria for the award include the quality, originality, and importance of the research and/or design solution.
Leadership, Scholarship, and Service
This award recognizes the graduating senior who best demonstrates, through leadership, scholarship and service, that they will be a credit to the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, the McCormick School of Engineering and Northwestern University.
Outstanding MatSci Junior Award
This award recognizes the materials science and engineering junior who best demonstrates achievement of excellence, through leadership, scholarship, service, and/or outstanding research accomplishment.
Outstanding MatSci Sophomore Award
This award recognizes the materials science and engineering sophomore who best demonstrates achievement of excellence, through leadership, scholarship, service, and/or outstanding research accomplishment.
Meister Summer Research Awards
Research funding is available to support two materials science undergraduate researchers each during summer 2012 and 2013.

McCormick Prizes and Awards for Undergraduates
McCormick believes in rewarding its undergraduates and graduating seniors who perform exceptionally well. As such, prizes and honors based on academic performance are given on a quarterly and annual basis to deserving students.
